New Twist On Mom’s Lasagna

Depsite popular belief, I can cook a little!
I saw this lasagna on pinterest and thought it looked interesting.
Problem:  Her recipe cannot be better than my moms.
So, I decided to take the interesting twist from the pinerest recipe and apply it to mom’s recipe!

You can see mom’s general recipe and what you’ll need!

I should have used the regular size of Prego and the traditional flavor. I didn't have the recipe card at the store.

So, you’ll want to start boiling your water for the lasagna noodles.
Then start in on browning your ground beef or ground turkey.
Once it’s brown, pour in the prego & a 1/4 jar of water. Simmer!
Then mix the eggs, cottage cheese, & parmesan.

Now, the fun part.

So we’re making individual pieces of lasagna, instead of the pan full.
Why?  Because then we can only cook what we want and freeze the rest for a busy day!

1. Sprinkle some mozzerella cheese.  just a little.
2. Sprinkle your prego & meat sauce.  Leave some room at the end for rolling.
3. Spread the cottage cheese concoction over it.
4. Then roll it up!

Put the number of pieces you want to eat tonight in a baking dish.  Cover with some meat sauce and some left over mozerella.  Cover with foil and cook on 375 for about 35 minutes.
I keep an eye on it and figure it’s done when the sauce starts to simmer.

The rest I wrapped individually with foil, stuck in a ziploc and froze!

I’m pretty handy in the kitchen, if you ask me!

Happy Cooking!
