I thought I was getting all fancy with my camera and playing with the aperture to have one of those cool pictures where I’m in focus and the background is all blurry, and apparently, I got the two switched. So I’m sorry for the horrible quality of these photos.
You know what I love about this outfit? With the exception of the necklace and the shoes, I’ve had all of this in my closet for at least 5 years. I have a horrible tendency to start ignoring items once they’ve been in my closet for a while (I think I just wear new items so often I get sick of them), but then a few years later, it’s like they’re new again. Now, a more reasonable person might say that you should get rid of all that old stuff you don’t wear any more to make room for new things, help you better see the items you do wear, and get some value back (or a tax deduction). Not I! I cling to those pieces like old friends knowing that one day we’ll find common ground and start hanging out again. (And if you see me on hoarders in a few years, you’ll know why.)
shirt: White/Black (old); blazer: NY&Co (old); pants: Express (old); shoes: Nine & Co for Kohl’s; necklace: this lady.
And I know I’ve done it before, but I’m going to make another promise to do better on my photography. (I have to learn eventually, right?)
